Minister calls for fighting propaganda against Islam

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr Muhammad Ijazul Haq has said that there is need to fight the propaganda against Islam all over the world in general and in the western media particularly.
He was addressing on the occasion of Dastar-Bandi at Daraul Uloom Hanfia, Rawalpindi here on Monday.
The Minister said that at present about one million children are studying in the Deeni Madaressah in the country and he is confident that not a single Deeni institution is involved in the terrorist activities.
The students are being imparted religious education and the blame of terrorist activities is just propaganda against them, Ijaz added.
Ijazul Haq said government has decided to introduce a new policy to include the modern education along with Deeni education in the Madarassah, so that after completing the education, the students could perform actively in their practical life.
He said that late President Ziaul haq declared degrees of Deeni Madrassah equivalent to B A due to which many Ulema are sitting in the Parliament.
Ijazul Haq said the government would utilise the money of Biatul-Mal and Zakat to provide help and benefit to the deserving people.
