Former Pakistan Cricket captain has urged the Pakistan Cricket Board to give him a chance to be heard in camera regarding his alleged allegations of match fixing of the 4th one day international against India at Lahore on March 21.
"PCB is coming up with statements to take action against me on match fixing allegations but they should listen my point of view before taking any decision," he said in a statement issued here Tuesday.
The former wicket-keeper batsman said PCB must view that videotape of his interview on a TV channel on the basis of which a false impression has been created that he openly alleged that the match was fixed.
"I have my own opinion based on my standing in the game and being a former Pakistan captain, the PCB must give some consideration and importance what I was actually stated in that interview," he said.
"I have never compromised, on principles and due to which my cricket career suffered but I always spoke truth," he maintained.
Rashid said after Pakistan's failure in the last year world cup, he was re-appointed the captain of the team and under his leadership the team gained success.
I respect the Pakistan cricket team and players but my point of view regarding allegations of match fixing was presented wrongly", he said.
