Poll boycott drive going apace

Senior Kashmiri leaders have been visiting various places in connection with the election boycott campaign and urged people to desist from the coming Indian Lok Sabha elections.
According to Kashmir Media Service, an APHC delegation led by Syed Bashir Andrabi visited Lolipora, Palhalan and other areas and informed people about the election boycott campaign.
The occupied Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing rallies at different places said the boycott of elections were indispensable, as India has always portrayed farcical elections as referendum in its favour.
People should completely boycott the sham elections and demonstrate to the international community that Kashmiris are for freedom, Malik said addressing the anti-election rally at Bahrampora in Baramulla district.
Malik was accompanied by JKLF vice-chairman Javed Ahmad Malik besides Sheikh Abdul Rashid and other leaders of the front.
Meanwhile, JKLF statement in Srinagar said hundreds of people participated in the anti-election rallies despite the hurdles create by police and other Indian security agencies.
