Hong Kong dollar edges lower as US dollar gains on data

Hong Kong dollar eased on Tuesday as players adjusted their positions following the US dollar's rise against major currencies on the back of recent upbeat economic data.
The US dollar jumped to a two-week high against the yen and held near a four-month peak against the euro.
"Recently, Asian currencies have closely tracked the yen's movement," said a dealer from a European bank.
