Troops asked to hone talents

Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Ahsan Saleem Hayat has exhorted the troops to hone their capabilities to meet all professional challenges.
He was addressing a ceremony held to install Brigadier Khawaja Nasim Iqbal (Retd) as Colonel of a Cavalry Regiment here on Thursday.
Lieutenant General Ahsan Saleem Hayat along with GOC Major General Ahsan Azhar Hayat, pinned the badges of ranks onto the shoulders of Brigadier Khawaja Nasim Iqbal (Retd) and congratulated him on assumption of his new responsibilities.
Appointing colonel of the regiment is an old tradition in the army. The colonel of the regiment usually senior in ranks provide guidance to sublimate the unit to utmost proficiency level and helps obviate difficulties, if any, in the process.
Brigadier Khawaja Nasim Iqbal (Retd) thanked the officers and jawans of the unit for reposing confidence in him and expressed his resolve to come up to their expectations.
Earlier, the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Kafil Ahmed gave a brief resume of the achievements of the regiment.
