Teachers' problems to be solved soon

The District Government is committed to resolve all problems of the teachers and has formed a committee under EDO Rawalpindi, which will submit a report within 15 days, said Raja Tariq Mehboob Kiani, District Nazim Rawalpindi, here on Friday.
He was talking to a delegation of Punjab Teachers Association here in his office.
He said: "The teachers are real builders of the nation and the government is committed to resolve all their problems at the earliest in order to make them worry-free."
"Solution of the teachers' problems is necessary in order to let them do their sacred job without any fear and problem and play their vital role of nation building smoothly," Kiani said and added that the matters would be settled very soon.
PENSION: He assured the teachers association that the government would make the process of attaining pension easy for the retired teachers in order to save them from frequent visits of the account office.
"I will give directions to the EDO Finance and Planning in this regard and all bottlenecks in this regard will be removed soon," he said.
He said that he has also directed the EDO to make sure the implementation on rules and regulations regarding the posting, transfer, appointment and other matters.
"I have also directed the concerned authorities to make sure that the female teachers should be posted near their residences in order to save them from problems," he said.
The Nazim said: "The proposal for construction of the residences to the teachers in hilly and border areas is under consideration and a decision on this is expected shortly."
"The improvement in the education system is first and the foremost priority of the District Government and this is the reason that teachers are being given best facilities," he added.
