Shares with CDC

10 Apr, 2004

I have opened an investors' account with the CDC. Since I have a large quality of shares, of almost 50 different companies, I gave my broker, the shares of a few companies, at a time. He took considerable time to get the shares lodged with the CDC. Further, be charged a lot as his fees.
I wish to bring this to the notice of the SECP and Karachi Stock Exchange so that they simplify the procedure.
Is it not possible to allow the CDC to undertake this work for their account holder at a reasonably, low cost? Otherwise it is better for the investors to keep the shares at home to save the custodial charges.
