Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights has clarified on Sunday that the statement attributed to Minister of State, Raza Hayat Hiraj relating to the issue of President Musharraf's uniform was "incorrect."
A spokesman of Ministry of Law and Justice while commenting on the news item regretted that the Minister has been quoted completely out of context.
The spokesman said that the Minister fully subscribed to the views of his senior party leaders and colleagues regarding the issue of national importance.
The Spokesman said the Minister firmly believes that Pakistan has greatly benefited from the dynamic leadership of President Musharraf, who will continue to lead this great nation through his most innovative vision.
His visionary leadership has immensely contributed towards the political stability and phenomenal economic prosperity since October 1999.
The spokesman said the Minister believes that continuation by the President is the need of the hour and will ensure continued political stability in Pakistan, allaying all apprehensions expressed by sceptics keeping in view the state of heightened instability witnessed by the nation during 1988-99 period, which had completely eroded the true essence of democratic dispensation of Pakistan.
