Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 125,910 tonnes from April 1-7, comprising 110,440 tonnes of wheat and 15,470 tonnes of barley, port officials said on Tuesday.
That compared with grain exports of 642,000 tonnes in the whole of April last year, comprising 606,000 tonnes of wheat and 36,000 tonnes of barley.
Officials said four vessels were in port on Tuesday, loading 16,000 tonnes of wheat for West Africa and Morocco and 4,000 tonnes of barley for Portugal.
A further four vessels were expected by Thursday to load an additional 61,500 tonnes of wheat for unspecified destinations.
