Government to preserve historical buildings: minister

Minister of State for Minorities, Sports, Culture, Tourism and Youth, Affairs, Rais Munir Ahmed said that government was trying its best to preserve historical buildings of the country for the promotion of tourism.
During a visit to Mughal Garden at Wah, the minister said that the government gave top priority to preserve historical assets as well as promoting tourism.
The minister was briefed about the history of some principal remains of a palace namely Farudgah-e-Shahan-i-Mughlia, two pavilions in symmetrical formation on either side of the central canal, water cascade and a complex of structural remains representing Turkish Bath.
Appreciating the maintenance work of the garden carried out by Archaeology department, the minister directed to the concerned officials to take more steps for making garden beautiful and attractive for the visitors.
