Badr case hearing put off

An accountability court on Wednesday put off the proceedings for April 27, in a reference against former federal minister Jehangir Badr, after recording the statement of two prosecution witnesses.
The counsel for the accused will cross-examine the prosecution witnesses on next date of hearing.
The accused has been facing the charges of corruption and making illegal assets in excess of his income.
Another accountability court adjourned the proceedings in a reference against former federal minister Haji Nawaz Khokhar when his counsel concluded his arguments.
The counsel for Khokhar, while concluding his arguments contended that charges against the accused are fake and concocted only aimed at harassing him.
He prayed to the court to dismiss the reference in question.
