Entry of new mobile companies to create jobs: RCCI

Terming the entry of two new mobile phone companies in mobile sector a boost to Pakistan telecom sector Hussain Ahmed Ozgen, President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has said that this will enhance the connectivity with the rest of the world and to create jobs in the country besides improve socio-economic uplift.
In a statement, he said that this is another feather in the cap of Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) that it has brought two more cellular companies in the market.
This will increase competition among mobile companies besides improving the quality and reduction in incoming and out going call charges, he added.
He said that because of good and consistency in government policies, the investment is flowing into the country, and the confidence of investor has restored.
Ozgen hoped that 20 to 25 thousand jobs would be generated by the launch of the new companies.
Meanwhile, the RCCI with Embassy of Belgium is holding "Belgian Companies Catalogues Exhibition" here in Chamber on Wednesday, April 21.
This exhibition will create positive impact on economic relations of Belgium and Pakistan.
The exhibition will start at 12 noon and will remain open up to 4 pm.
This event will help to enhance friendly relations and will further increase the culture, economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Ambassador of Belgium, Patrick Renault and Hussain Ahmed Ozgen, President, RCCI will address the inaugural session of the exhibition.
