A British firm has shown grate interest for investment in Information Technology (IT) sector in Sindh.
This was stated by the International Sales Director of MITEL Networks Limited Hisham Amili, in a meeting with the Sindh Minister for IT, Syed Mustafa Kamal at his office here on Tuesday.
Amili was leading a delegation of the firm, which included Gary Briscombe. The Chief Executive Officer of Uffaq Technologies, Dr Sohail Munir and Senior Manager M. Asim Habib were also present on the occasion.
He said that his firm wanted to undertake investment in the IT sector in Karachi as well as in the interior of Sindh.
Amili further pointed out that firm also intended to come up with a call centre company in Pakistan.
The minister expressed pleasure at the British firm's intention to invest in Sindh and for the setting up of the call centres.
He assured full co-operation on behalf of the Sindh Government in this respect.
Syed Mustafa Kamal was of the view that setting up of call centres would help to create job opportunities.
He told the delegation that the provincial government was taking effective steps for the promotion of IT.
