Yousaf's services in petroleum sector extolled

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Chaudhry Nouraiz Shakoor on Tuesday said the re-structuring, de-controlling and good governance policies introduced by the government have not only yielded tremendous boost in the petroleum sector but also attracted an unprecedented investment in the country.
Abdullah Yousaf former Secretary for Petroleum and Natural Resources, now Chairman Central Board of Revenues (CBR), has made an outstanding and invaluable contributions in this regard.
The minister expressed these views while speaking at a reception hosted by the officers of the Ministry of Petroleum in honour of Abdullah Yousaf. They also welcomed the new Secretary Petroleum, Ahmed Waqar.
Nouraiz Shakoor said during his over four years' tenure as Secretary, Abdullah Yousaf served with distinction and contributed a lot to make the petroleum sector dynamic and vibrant.
He hoped that country would continue to benefit from his capabilities to bring socio-economic uplift for the masses.
He said the new secretary petroleum is also a decent and dynamic person and hoped he would push forward the process of the far-reaching policies undertaken by his predecessor in petroleum sector.
Ahdullah Yousaf expressed gratitude to the minister and officers of the ministry for extending full co-operation during his tenure.
Earlier, Additional Secretary Iftikhar Ahmed in his opening remarks paid tributes to the outstanding contributions of the both high-ups of the ministry for the country by dint of their profession acumen.
Later, the minister presented a souvenir to Abdullah Yousaf and wished both the senior colleagues every success in their new assignments.
