Message from Governor Sindh

21 Apr, 2004

It is indeed an honour for Pakistan and especially for Karachi to play host to an event of such magnitude as the 3rd International Garment, Textile & Leather Machinery, Accessories & Fabrics Exhibition or IGATEX Pakistan 2004.
With most of the industrial units of the country situated in this mega city, it is an ideal location for holding such trade exhibitions and on such large scale.
With a huge network of roads and an easy access to the sea, Karachi has always enjoyed a special significance among the major commercial cities of the world.
Events such as IGATEX, not only provide us with trade and investment opportunities, but also open a venue to showcase our city and country to the world.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Sindh, I would like to take this chance to welcome all our foreign guests to an enjoyable and pleasant stay in our city by the sea.
I would especially like to congratulate all the respective ministries and various trade and textile related associations that have contributed to the success of this exhibition and for the efforts made for further enhancement of the textile and the garment sector of Pakistan by supporting the IGATEX 2004.
Last of all, I admire the efforts and the time taken by the organisers CEMS & Pegasus Consultancy for putting together such a successful event.
