Commodore Nayyar promoted as Rear Admiral

Commodore Nayyar Iqbal Commander Logistics of Pakistan Navy has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral.
Nayyar Iqbal joined the Pakistan Navy as a cadet in December 1970 and was commissioned in the engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy on 1st June 1973. He later specialised in mechanical engineering in 1974.
During the early stages of his career, he was assigned duties on various ships and establishments, besides undergoing extensive training within the country and abroad, especially in UK and USA.
He has vast experience as Naval engineer and has served on a number of distinguished appointments both afloat and ashore including Captain Fleet Maintenance Group, Fleet engineer Officer, Commanding Officer PNS KARSAZ and Managing Director PN Dockyard.
The officer also served on a foreign assignment to Muscat, Oman between 1980 to 1982.
On April 10, he assumed the charge of Commander Logistics Pakistan Navy. In recognition for his meritorious services he has been decorated with 'Sitara-I-Imtiaz' (Military).
Rear Admiral Nayyar Iqbal is Masters in Strategic Studies and a graduate of PN War College as well as National Defence College, Pakistan.
