'EU ratification to help boost foreign investment'

Approval by European Union parliament of the extension in partnership and progress agreement between Pakistan and the EU will help boost foreign investment and economic activity in the country.
This was stated by President Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Riaz Ahmad Tata during a telephonic interview with PTV on Friday.
He said the EU parliament by approving the extension in this agreement has proved that Pakistan is a suitable country for investment, technical assistance as well as for business friendship.
Along with United States the EU is Pakistan's biggest business partner he said and added showing of confidence by such a valuable partner will help massive enhancement in Pakistan's exports.
Besides he said the development will open new investment prospects and the country will start moving fast on the path of progress particularly in technological sphere.
It will play major role in creating a favourable economical atmosphere in the country, he added.
