Disciplinary action initiated against LGH staff

The management of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has initiated disciplinary action against doctors and paramedics staff of the hospital for negligence in the performance of their official duties.
The Principal LGH has also issued notices of recovery to seven nurses who have been failed to clear their dues on account of rent, outstanding utility bills since 1998.
They were also residing with their families in the nursing hostel in violation of rules and regulations. The nurses included Abida, Shahnaz, Zubaida, Rashida, Azra, Razia and Munawar Sultana.
On a complaint submitted by a patient, Dr Zafar and Dr Rabia were treated on leave without pay for 1-5 days on account of absence from duty without any intimation.
Moreover, show cause notices have been served upon Surgical Operation Theater In-charge, Dr Asmat Atta and Head Nurse Saeeda for allowing work to unauthorised persons in the theatre. A ward-cleaner, Sharifan Bibi has been terminated from the service.
