MNNA status to Pakistan a landmark step: Wolfowitz

The possibilities of further co-operation between the United States and Pakistan in the field of defence were understood to have come up under discussion, in the meeting between Federal Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Shaukat Aziz and US Deputy Secretary of Defence Paul Wolfowitz held on Thursday at the Pentagon.
Wolfowitz, said designation of Major Non Nato Ally status to Pakistan was "a landmark step" in the friendship.
He also lauded Pakistan's role as a frontline state in the war against terror.
The Finance Minister briefed the Deputy Secretary of Defence about the economic agenda of Pakistan and the success achieved so far.
