The government has finalised the arrangements to celebrate the upcoming Eid-e-Milad-un Nabi with great religious zeal and fervour and people were asked to take into consideration the teachings of the Holy Prophet on this auspicious occasion.
This was stated by District Nazim, Raja Tariq Mehboob Kiani, while addressing as chief guest the meeting held in connection of the holding of annual Seerat conference. Religious leaders and scholars also take part in the meeting.
Raja Tariq has imposed complete ban on playing music, beating drums and standing on rooftops during the Milad rally.
"We must keep the sanctity and honour of this great event in our minds and not to do any such move which is contrary to the teachings of the Holy Prophet", he said.
He directed the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) to make sure the complete cleaning of the route of Milad rally and also provision of drinking water should be assured for the participants of the rally.
Kiani also directed the TMA to repair all the streetlights on the route and remove encroachments including debris.
He said that the link roads proceeding to the route of the Milad rally would be closed for traffic on the day in order to make sure the smooth sailing of the rally.
He also directed the health department to make sure provision of two ambulances including doctors and paramedics for the rally.
District Nazim also called upon the Ulema to co-operate with the district government in making the event a success and maintaining the law and order situation in the district.
