Another batch of 623 Pakistani prisoners, released from the Muscat jails, reached home on Sunday morning with the hectic efforts and support of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International and the Foreign Affairs and Interior ministries.
They were languishing in jails for the last several months after having been smuggled to Muscat for slave labour. They were arrested by the Muscat authorities for not having proper documents.
These 623 Pakistanis arrived after the painful travel of four days in open sea, without food or drinking water on a cargo boat, Al-Mohammadi - 2.
The Ansar Burney Trust, in a statement, said here that on their arrival at Ghasbander, Keemari, the Trust has provided food and water, adding in most of the cases, new clothes and sleepers were also given to the poor returnees.
