WWF-P in collaboration with the Forum of Environmental Journalists of Pakistan (FEJP) on Saturday launched its documentary titled 'Listen to Children' capturing inspiring stories from four South Asian countries on ensuring child participation.
The documentary has been produced by TVE International with footage from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in collaboration with Unicef regional Office for South Asia (ROSA).
Listen to Children visions the post-conflict Sri Lanka to the back streets of New Delhi to talk to children involved in the 'Children's Council' of street children, in adolescent education in Bangladesh and in fighting against HIV/AIDS sufferers in Nepal.
One in five of the world's population is aged between 12 and 18. In developing countries, where the percentage is much higher, where children often carry huge burden of responsibility at work and in home.
This programme reports Unicef initiative to involve children in decisions that effects their future, family and communities.
