Superintendent of Traffic Police Zubair Hashmi has sent a requisition to the Ministry of Interior for approval of at least four speed radars to check over speeding, which is a major cause of road accidents in capital.
Talking to APP here on Sunday, the SP said," Traffic police has made a formal request to the Ministry of Interior for four speed radars as presently Islamabad Traffic police has only one radar, insufficient to check over-speeding vehicles."
About restriction of using mobile phone during driving, the SP said we have suggested the Interior Ministry for such directives at Islamabad level, however, proper legislation can only restrict people to eliminate this particular violation.
