Unisame team to discuss problems with KESC MD on April 26

The representatives of Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) will meet Brigadier Tariq Saddozai, Managing Director (MD) of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), and his team of engineers to discuss the difficulties being faced by the SMEs of Hawkesbay industrial area.
Anwar Mian Noor, Chairman, Hawkesbay Association of Trade and Industry (HATI), will also accompany the Unisame delegation.
Zulfikar Thaver, convenor of Unisame complained that new connections applications are pending for many months; the SMEs are getting insufficient power load; the KESC is offering unaffordable schemes and SMEs are being asked to pay PMT charges, unlike residential areas which are exempted.
He said SMEs cannot afford to pay heavy charges and need concessions and exemptions. He requested the KESC MD to announce a special package for SMEs.
He said SMEs are confident that the KESC will resolve their matters.
