The Supreme Court and its Bar Association are jointly organising a seminar on "access to judiciary and alternate dispute resolution" here on May 22.
The hosts have invited representatives from the benches and bar associations of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, India and Britain to address on the practices being followed in their country.
Tariq Mehmood, the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) said this will be the first joint effort by the judiciary and the bar in the last several years to improve the professional standards and educate the two sides with current practices.
The Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui will preside and Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, former Punjab Chief Justice Mian Allah Nawaz, Barrister Abdul Hafeez Pirzada and the immediate former president of the SCBA, Hamid Khan will address the sitting.
The seminar will be held within the premises of the Supreme Court.
