Hong Kong businessmen laud economic turnaround: minister

Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday said the Hong Kong business community has appreciated that Pakistan's economy was improving and heading towards the path of progress.
Talking to GEO television from Hong Kong, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the investors and businessmen of Hong Kong have sufficient information about Pakistan's economy and they accept that it is gradually improving.
Giving details of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali's address to investors' conference in Honk Kong, he said the prime minister, identifying the areas of investment, has invited the investors to come to Pakistan as the atmosphere was conducive for investment.
The information minister said some participants of the conference had reservations about the law and order situation of Pakistan, but they were informed that the law and order situation in the country was better and conducive for investment.
About engagements of the prime minister, Sheikh Rashid said that meetings with different business delegations and multi-national companies are also included in the busy tour of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.
