USDA cotton export sales highlights for latest reporting week:
Net Upland sales of 48,200 RB were 71 percent below the previous week and the prior 4-week average.
Major increases for China (19,400 RB), Thailand (14,200 RB), Turkey (10,100 RB), Indonesia (4,700 RB), and Venezuela (4,300 RB) were partially offset by decreases for Mexico (19,000 RB).
Sales of 45,300 RB for delivery in 2004/05 were primarily for Mexico (24,800 RB) and Thailand (13,600 RB).
Exports of 351,000 RB were 9 percent above the previous week, but 14 percent under the prior 4-week average. China (163,800 RB) was the primary destination, with smaller quantities to Turkey (53,500 RB), Mexico (24,600 RB), Indonesia (22,800 RB), South Korea (10,900 RB), and Taiwan (9,100 RB).
Net American Pima sales of 12,400 RB were primarily for Peru (7,500 RB), Indonesia (1,600 RB), and China (1,200 RB).
Exports of 5,700 RB were mainly to China (3,100 RB).
