As tax managers are actively engaged in budget preparation exercise, the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has imposed ban on the entry of visitors, including journalists, in the Board office building from May 13, 2004.
In this regard, Mohammad Idris Khan, Chief Security Officer (Budget), issued an order here on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the entry of visitors in Board's premises has been restricted from May 13 due to heavy engagements of Chairman and CBR members.
Only visitors of the Chairman and Members shall be allowed entry, subject to the approval of the concerned officer. In case a visitor has prior appointment, the concerned private secretary will intimate to the receptionist well in time.
No officers and staff other than the Chairman/Members and Chiefs are allowed to receive visitors in their room.
Chiefs requiring entry of any visitor in the CBR may inform the private secretary of their member so that he intimates to the receptionist for arranging entry.
If the concerned officer is busy, the private secretary will convey suitable instructions to the receptionist so that meeting will be arranged at another appropriate time.
