Tail-enders assured due share of water

The tail-end growers have a right to get their due share of irrigation water and any kind of slackness in this regard would not be tolerated at any cost.
Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Public Affairs, Syed Manzoor Hussain has said this, while presiding over a high-level meeting with the District Officers (DO) at Circuit House here on Wednesday.
He said that he had received complaints regarding shortage of medicines in hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHU) and Rural Health Centres (RHCs).
The Health DO, here, informed the Advisor that recently the medicines worth Rs 4 million had been received and distributed to the hospitals, BHUs and RHCs of the district accordingly, and hoped that now such complaints would not be received.
The Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister directed the DO to ensure that the poor patients got medicines free of cost.
He further said that the purpose of his visit was to listen the problems of the people, and to resolve those on priority basis.
The Advisor further said that it was our responsibility to work hard and resolved the problems of the common-man without any discrimination and make the country developed.
On this occasion, the Advisor was briefed about the development schemes by the EDO Finance and Planning, Yaseen Ahmed Thar.
