Bears tighten grip on ISE

Equities witnessed broad-based erosion on the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where bearish trend continued throughout the trading day amid the decrease in index.
The ISE network index showed a decrease of 136.33 points as the price-based indicator moved from 11,453.21 to 11,316.88 points. The overall turnover amounted to 5,550,900 shares as compared to previous volume of 4,932,800 shares.
Total 136 companies participated in buying and selling activity, while majority of stocks (102) closed in positive territory, 33 showed negative signs, while one company remained pegged to its previous level.
The turnover of OGDCL was 3,127,000 shares as compared to previous volume of 3,114,000 shares. The volume of Fauji Fertiliser was 1,173,000 shares as compared to previous turnover of 585,000 shares.
The volume of Pakistan Oilfields was 472,200 shares as compared to previous turnover of 466,400 shares.
