Karachi to receive normal water supply

18 May, 2004

Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) has restored the normal supply of water to city, which was disrupted as switches at Dhabejee Pumping Station got burnt due to overload of electricity system to pumping station on Sunday.
A spokesman of KW&SB told PPI on Monday that shortfall of 30 MGD water caused by this fault was controlled as hectic efforts of KESC engineers to remove the fault normalised the electricity supply to pumping station.
Disruption of electricity to pumping station caused water scarcity in city. Many parts of city went without water or received scanty supply of water.
