Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has condemned the mass killings in Karachi, and asked the government to arrest the responsible persons and award them exemplary punishment.
This was a resolution passed by the members of the Bar that met here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Ahmed Awais, LHCBA president.
They were of the view that the government was patronising sectarian organisations and instead of taking strict actions against them it has adopted a soft corner for them.
They pointed out that the government always used such organisations for their ulterior motives while putting the law and order at stake.
"Karachi massacre would not only create unrest in Karachi but it would also spread in the rest of the country," they added.
According to them, if the government fails to control such killings then the law and order would further deteriorate.
The government has failed to control terrorism in the country thus it should resign.
