Three people including a ruling party politician were killed and seven policemen were injured in a grenade attack on Thursday in Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK), occupation police said.
Ghulam Mohiudin, a local worker for the People's Democratic Party, was shot dead on late Wednesday in Anantnag, an occupation police spokesman said.
A freedom fighter and an occupation army soldier were killed in an overnight gun-battle in Baramulla, occupation police said.
On Thursday, seven occupation policemen were injured in southern Doda district when suspected freedom fighters lobbed a grenade at their patrol, occupation police said, clarifying an earlier account that the victims were civilians.
