The Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Karachi division, has outlined a programme for protest on Friday in all five district headquarters against recent bomb blasts, murder of renowned religious scholar Mufti Nizamuddin Shamzai in Karachi, deaths due to consumption of contaminated water in Hyderabad, and the failure of Sindh government in arresting terrorists.
In a press release, PPP President (Karachi) Muzaffar Shujra said the PPP will take out protest rallies from Lasbella Chowk in district East, Hyderi Bus Stop in district Central, district office Site Chowk in district West, Landhi-Quaidabad in district Malir and Chakiwara Chowk, Lyari, in district South.
Meanwhile, Muzaffar Shujra, Habibuddin Junaidi and Raheel Iqbal addressed public meetings in Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Federal 'B' Area, Lyari, Banaras Chowk and Keamari.
They said the law and order situation is deteriorating across the province, as the Sindh government has failed to maintain peace in the province.
The PPP leaders called for dismissal of the government and appealed to Karachiites to make the protest of June 4 a success.
