The supply of power to the upper Sindh has been normalised and the system is operative in normal position.
A spokesman of Wapda said here on Friday that the power supply was affected due to outage of Liberty Power House and subsequently going out of circuit of two units of Guddu Power House in the afternoon on Wednesday, thereby resulting in a shortage of 340 MW supply.
One unit of the Guddu Power House Unit started supplying power in the afternoon on Thursday and later on one unit of Liberty Power House was also synchronised in the late night hours the same day.
The second unit of Liberty Power House started supplying power to the Wapda system in the early morning hours on Thursday.
The improved power generation and position of the energy supply to the transmission system has facilitated normalisation of power supply in the upper Sindh area.
However, inconvenience to the consumers due to the forced suspension of power supply is regretted.
