Britain's Home Grown Cereals Authority (HGCA) said on Friday it will move to reporting delivered rather than ex-farm grain prices from the start of the 2004/05 (July-June) season.
The government-backed UK cereals body, which provides information to Britain's farming press and around 70,000 levy-payers, said the changes reflected the needs of a more sophisticated market.
"The HGCA hopes to provide a framework of price information that producers can use to enhance their cereal marketing strategies," HGCA analyst Rupert Somerscales said in a statement.
