US cotton export sales highlights

USDA cotton export sales highlights for latest reporting week. Net Upland sales of 149,400 RB were 38 percent above the previous week and one-third over the prior 4-week average.
The major buyers were Pakistan (32,800 RB), Turkey (31,700 RB), Taiwan (16,500 RB), Thailand (14,900 RB), India (13,900 RB), and South Korea (10,500 RB).
Sales of 95,000 RB for delivery in 2004/05 were primarily for Indonesia (31,400 RB), South Korea (23,600 RB), Thailand (11,600 RB), Mexico (10,500 RB), and Pakistan (7,500 RB).
Exports of 358,200 RB were up 44 percent from the week earlier and 42 percent above the prior 4-week average.
China (128,200 RB) was the major destination, followed by Mexico (51,900 RB), Turkey (39,100 RB), Colombia (27,400 RB), Indonesia (17,900 RB), and Thailand (14,200 RB).
