Workshop on microbiological and genetical techniques

Vice-chancellor Punjab University, Arshad Mahmood inaugurated a six-day workshop on "Microbiological and Genetical Techniques" for degree colleges teachers here on Monday.
The workshop was jointly organised by the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics under the auspices of Higher Education Commission (HEC) at Quaid-e-Azam campus. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Arshad Mahmood urged the teachers to refresh their knowledge and display excellent communication skills while delivering lectures. He also highlighted the significance of curriculum development for the development of country's human resource.
Earlier, Chairperson Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Professor Dr Shahida Hasnain in her welcome address said that the workshop has been designed to revise the curriculum of botany and zoology at B.Sc. level.
She said the workshop would help train the college teachers about the latest techniques in the field of microbiology and molecular genetics. Eleven teachers from different male and female degree colleges of Lahore attended the workshop, which will conclude on June 12.
