The Philippines' National Food Authority revised on Tuesday its tender date to buy 200,000 tonnes of rice to July 1.
"We are holding a tender on July 1 instead of the original plan of June 30," an official from the state trading firm told Reuters.
The official, who asked not to be identified, said the firm would seek tenders for 15 percent and 25 percent broken rice varieties coming from Thailand, Vietnam or China.
The grain should be delivered in the country between July and August.
