Envoys-designate of eight countries presented their credentials to President General Pervez Musharraf in a ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Wednesday.
They separately arrived at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour.
National Anthems of Pakistan and Envoy's respective countries were played.
Later, the Ambassadors and the High Commissioners separately called on the President and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.
Those who presented their credentials include: the Ambassador-designate of Algeria to Pakistan Nadir Larbaoui, the Ambassador-designate of Jordan to Pakistan Musa Al-Adwan, the Ambassador-designate of Italy to Pakistan Roberto Mazzotta, the Ambassador-designate of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Anvar Solikhbaev, the High Commissioner-designate of Kenya to Pakistan David M. Mutemi, the High Commissioner-designate of Cyprus to Pakistan Petros Kestoras, the High Commissioner-designate of Zimbabwe to Pakistan Christopher Hatikure Mutsvan-gwa and the Ambassador-designate of Bhutan to Pakistan Dasho Jigme Tshultim.
