Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has said that no law against the Quran and Sunnah can be formulated in Pakistan but added that man-made laws could be amended with consensus.
The Prime Minister was addressing woman parliamentarians from the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and its allies here on Tuesday.
He said as far as honour killings and discriminatory laws were concerned, one should consider all aspects in depth, seek advice from the relevant quarters and forge a consensus among the party and its allies before making any change.
The Prime Minister said the Parliament was the competent forum for any change in man-made laws.
PML president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said the proposed bill regarding women and gender reforms action programme would be reviewed in detail in a PML parliamentary party meeting and its allies before any decision.
