An explosion in a coal mine in north-western China has killed 15 people and left seven missing, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday.
Eighty-five miners were working underground in the Huangling Mining Co Ltd's No 1 coal mine when the blast occurred on Tuesday, it said.
Sixty-five of them were rescued, although five had to be taken to hospital.
Two rescuers were among the dead but Xinhua did not say how they were killed. Xinhua also did not say what caused the blast.
