The National Assembly on Friday witnessed rowdy scenes, as PML-N MNA Tehmina Daultana held President General Pervez Musharraf responsible for the deteriorating law and order in the country.
The Speaker, Chaudhry Amir Hussain, who at the time of pandemonium was not present in the House, rushed back and gave ruling that President Musharraf must not be targeted in his absence.
Taking part in the debate on the financial budget 2004-05, Tehmina Daultana said that the budget has been made to please only the elite class, adding that the country's deteriorating law and order situation has badly affected our economy.
She maintained that America is ruling our country and President Musharraf is taking every step according to the wishes of US Secretary of State Collin Powel.
"The whole nation is insecure but our security agencies are protecting just one person (President General Musharraf)," she added.
On her remarks against the President Musharraf, Minister of State for Law and Justice Raza Hayat Hiraj got infuriated and urged the Deputy Speaker to immediately stop her.
He said that Tehmina was given the floor to speak about the budget 2004-05, but she is only targeting President Musharraf in his absence.
Chairman National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB), Danial Aziz and Tehmina Daultana also exchanged few harsh words.
The Speaker rushed back to the chair to control the untoward situation. After rowdy scenes, Chaudhry Amir Hussain gave the ruling that President Musharraf must not be targeted in his absence from the House.
He said members should not give remarks against those who were not present in the House.
