A civil judge Farrukh Hussain has issued notices to Syed Muzammil Hussain Shah and Syed Najam-ul-Abbas Shah and directed them to appear before the court on July 05, to settle the issue raised in a suit filed against them by cricket player Shoaib Akhtar.
The petitioner has approached the court against the respondents with a claim of Rs 100 million each as compensation for causing mental agony and torture to him by their malicious prosecution.
The respondents had filed a suit against Shoaib Akhtar on a statement issued by him before some foreign journalists, which according to them damaged the image of the country. The court after hearing the counsel of the petitioner Taffazul H Rizvi at length issued notices to the respondents and rose for the day.
