The press spokesman for Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Monday contradicted a news item in a section of the press in which it was alleged that Pir Pagara showed his indignation to the chief minister for harassing the staff of a private hospital.
The spokesman pointed out that provincial chief minister had received a number of complaints of fleece, irresponsible attitude and wrong treatment against various private hospitals, and he had carried out a surprise visit in this regard.
He said Pir Pagara had asked the chief minister for justice in the matter of the Ziauddin Hospital, and did not show any indignation.
The spokesman also said on the directive of chief minister the system of private hospitals and schools is being regulated, and directives issued to concerned departments in this respect.
He said the Sindh chief minister will pay surprise visits to various hospitals and schools off and on, and would not allow irregularities to take place so that rights of poor people are protected.
