As westerly wave over Kashmir has moved further eastward, and is still affecting Kashmir and adjoining Punjab, weather experts have forecast light to moderate rains over upper catchment of all main rivers during the next 24 hours. According to local met office, a well-marked seasonal low also lies over Balochistan.
This weather system is likely to cause rains over upper catchment of all rivers along with northern and north-eastern Punjab, isolated light rain over Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions during next 24 hours.
Reports of rain have been received from different towns, including Besham 31 mm, Kakul 19 mm, Sahiwal 10 mm, Faisalabad 9 mm Garhidopatta, Shortkot, Muzaffarabad 5 mm each, Murree 4 mm, Rawalkot and Astore 3 mm each, Kamra 2 mm, Sargodha and Balakot 1 mm.
