Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in Rawalpindi and Islamabad were put on high alert to avert any terrorist strike, target killing and any other untoward incident.
They are directed to keep a vigil on the movement of the people, particularly the activists of the religious organisations.
All these security measures are being taken in view of the Wana operation and to block the terrorists' entry into the twin cities and avoid the target killings of the political leaders of this area.
Political leaders were asked to direct their employees in their private secretariats to keep complete record of the visitors and adopt the preventive security measures to avoid any untoward incident.
Political leaders in Rawalpindi were also asked to remain vigilant from the visitors.
The district administration in the Rawalpindi region has circulated forms among the hotel owners in which they are directed to keep complete record of their guests in hotels and provide it to the LEAs.
They were also asked to inform the administration whenever they feel any suspicious activity in their hotel. The administration has warned the traders to keep a check on their customers.
The district administration has also called upon people to keep an eye on the suspicious people and co-operate with the administration in order to maintain the law and order.
