'HBFC victims ignored in budget'

Federal government should review the so-called relief given to the House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) victims and write off the interest on small loans up to Rs 200,000, where the principal amount has been re-paid.
Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, MNA and a PML-N central leader, made this demand while talking to a delegation of HBFC victims here on Thursday.
He was of the view that HBFC victims had been ignored in the so-called relief orientated budget.
"The relief only benefited the HBFC and not the victims, as it focuses on recovery of loans" he added.
