Tom Slone, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Touchstone Communication in Pakistan, one of the leading international call centre companies, called on President Pervez Musharraf here on Saturday.
During the meeting, the President highlighted the incentives given to the investors and economic reforms introduced by the government. He said that as a result of these reforms there has been tremendous economic growth in the country and Pakistan has emerged as an investment-friendly country for foreign and local investors.
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, who was also present in the call, pointed out the measures taken by the government for the development of IT industry and establishment of call centres in the country.
He said that training programmes are being initiated in the area of customer relationship management, and the cost of bandwidth will be reduced even further in the near future. This will help spur further growth, he added.
Slone appreciated the economic achievements, particularly in the field of Information Technology and telecommunications. He said that provision of excellent services at affordable cost is the top priority of his company.
He said that he has been doing business in Pakistan for a long time and believes that the country offers a conducive climate for investment in different sectors with prospects of great returns.
