Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Saturday visited the areas affected by Mithrao Canal breach at deh Jago, Smaro Irrigation Sub-division, about 28 kilometres from here.
The chief minister spoke to the affected peasants and landlords at camp set up following canal breach. Meanwhile, the repair and plugging of breaches caused during the last rains in Badin district has started with fully pace on the directive of Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
In all there was twelve big and 348 small breaches caused in Left Bank Out Fall Drain (LBOD).
The chief minister has ordered a grant of Rs 13 million. Sindh Irrigation Development Authority (Sida) staff has completed the fifty percent work by performing their duties round-the-clock.
